Las Vegas — Actor and director Olivia Wilde seemed unwavering after being handed a custody document for her child while performing on stage at an event in Las Vegas.
She was giving a presentation on Tuesday when a brown envelope was handed to her.
Upon opening it, she discovered that it contained custody documents from her former partner Jason Sudeikis.
Sdeikis had no prior knowledge of the status of letter delivery, sources near him said.
Wild directed the American high school teen moviebook Smart and is best known for her role as Remy “Thirteen” Hadley in the Medical Drama House.
She met the best-known Sudaykis in the comedy series Ted Lasso in 2011. They got engaged and had two children before they broke up in 2020.
Wild was interrupted at a CinemaCon conference in the theater while showing a video of her next thriller, Don’t Wally Darling.
Wild asked, “Is this for me?” She was handed an envelope labeled “Private and Secret” by a stranger woman.
She opened the letter during the presentation, scanned its contents, and then resumed her speech.
The letter was never mentioned again, leading to speculation that Wild was handed the script for a new movie.
But on Wednesday, it was revealed that the letter instead contained custody documents for her and the children of Sdeikis.
“The paper was created to establish jurisdiction over Wild and Sdeikis’ children,” a source close to Sdeikis told Variety.
“Mr. Sdeikis had no prior knowledge of when or where the envelope was delivered. This depends on the process service company involved and she will be provided in such an improper way. I never tolerated it, “they added.
In response to this incident, the event organizer, CinemaCon, “re-issued the security protocol after being asked in a statement to Variety how the letter was delivered wildly on stage. “Evaluation”.
“It’s the right thing to do, so we act accordingly. We want to be safe and right,” he added. — BBC
