One half of comedy duo Fichi d’India dies

(ANSA) – ROME, Sept. 28 – Bruno Arena, one half of the Italian TV and film comic duo Fichi d’India, has died at the age of 65, his son Gianluca said on Instagram on Wednesday.

“I was unprepared, but there is no such thing. Bon Voyage Papa…you leave a huge gap,” said his son.

Musician and TV host Paolo Belli posted a photo of the pair together and said, “RIP to my great friend.”

Alina suffered an aneurysm in 2013 that compromised her ability to exercise.

He got his start in show business in the 1980s, met partner Max Cavallari and founded Fichi d’India before rising to the top of the TV comics scene. (ANSA).
