Operation to separate conjoined twins in Yemeni Mawada, Rama set on Thursday

Riyadh — Surgery to separate the Yemenisham twins Mawada and Rama will take place this Thursday in the implementation of instructions from King Salman, the guardian deity of the Custodian of the Two St. Mosques.
Conjoined twins from the province of Aden are operated at the King Abdullah Children’s Hospital in King Abdul Aziz Medical City (KAMC) of the National Guard in Riyadh.
This was revealed in a press statement by the Royal Courts of Justice adviser, the General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, and Dr. Abdrabin Abdulaziz Al-Rabia, head of the medical and surgical team.
He expects the surgery to take about 11 hours, showing that it will be done in six stages with the participation of 28 doctors and specialists, in addition to technicians and nursing executives.
He added that the Yemenisham twins were female and were born connected to the lower chest and abdomen.
