Kuwait: The Kuwaiti movie “Oscar” is currently being shown in Kuwaiti cinemas. Produced on the VO platform, the film premiered Thursday night at Hamra Tower’s Grand Cinema. The one-hour thriller is also available on the VO platform. The Oscar, starring popular Kuwaiti actors Abdul Rahman Al-Aquel, Shymas Lyman, Mohammed Alfmel, Esam Arkademi, Hussein Awad, etc., is directed by Mohammed Alfmel and written by Haya.

“The idea of a movie is very simple. It’s based on suspense. I’m hoping for great success. Whether people like it or not, I always do it after I release a new piece. I feel uneasy, “Aqel said during the movie premiere. “Young Kuwaitians are very active in the film industry, which was not very popular in the past. Kuwait has many excellent actors and directors, including Al Humeri, who directed the film for the first time. I look forward to seeing more local movies in the future, “he added.

Oscar is about Forge (Aquel), an actor loved by fans. He is exposed to a young woman pretending to be a fan. A popular star who runs a production company has made mistakes in the past and is now facing trouble with his business and his wife. Then he meets a young fan and insists he takes his phone number and address. One night when he’s drunk, a fan comes to his office, abuses the situation and records his confession. Oscar is one of the new Kuwaiti films produced by the VO platform.
