Oslo registers the first “Tropical Night” of the year

Oslo registered the first tropical night of the year. The lowest temperature at night was 20.1 degrees.

In order for a night to be considered a tropical night, it must be above 20 degrees from 8 pm in the evening to 8 am the next morning.

This summer, in some parts of Norway, there were tropical nights, including Bodø. The city spent the first tropical night in 50 years on Wednesday night.

On the night between Thursday and Friday, Oslo registered the first tropical night of the year, the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) wrote.

At the Meteorological Research Institute’s measurement station, the lowest temperature registered in Oslo was 20.1 degrees Celsius from Thursday to Friday night.
