Pakistan: Two cafes in parliament closed after cockroaches found in food

Islamabad, July 31: The Islamabad government has blocked two cafeterias in the Pakistani capital’s parliament building after cockroaches were found in food. Samaa TV reported that many parliamentarians had already stopped eating in these cafeterias due to substandard meals.
After a recent incident in which lawmakers found cockroaches in their food, they lodged a complaint with Islamabad’s district administration. I have seen pests.
Following this, they sealed two cafeterias. According to Samaa TV, this is not the first incident of its kind. In 2014, a cockroach was found in a ketchup bottle in the Maison’s cafeteria. Two cafeterias in Pakistan’s parliament have been closed after cockroaches were found in their food.
MPs also questioned the quality of meat used in the diet in 2019. Awful cleanliness standards aren’t just limited to the Capitol. In the past, rat intrusions have also been reported at the Capitol.
