Park Shin-hye preparing to return to romantic comedy – Chosun Ilbo (English version) : Hankook Ilbo

Park Shin Hye will co-star with Park Hyung Sik in a new TV series scheduled to air on cable channel JTBC later this year.

The working title, “Doctor Slump,” will be her first project since she got married last January and gave birth a few months later.

The two have already been attracting attention as they have reunited for the first time in about 10 years since appearing in the popular SBS drama “The Heirs”. Fans are excited to see what kind of chemistry they will create.

Expectations are high for a romantic comedy about the life of a young doctor who falls into a slump after building a successful career.

Park Shin Hye plays the role of an anesthesiologist who is exhausted from work. Once a good student, she became a workaholic living a life without fun, doing nothing but her studies and work. One day she decided to turn her life around and make her change.

“I don’t think you can avoid slumps. I’ve always been thinking about how to deal with slumps and deal with them wisely, so this story resonated with me in many ways.”

Park Hyung Sik plays a famous orthopedic surgeon who is on the brink of a cliff after a medical accident. He said, “It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a romantic comedy, so I’m excited and excited at the same time. I’m happy to be working with Park Shin Hye again.”

Filming has recently begun with the goal of airing in the second half of this year.
