Police get 20 new Ford SUVs to boost security…

Nassau | Today, the Royal Bahamian Police received a gift from the United States Government as part of an ongoing partnership between the Bahamas and the United States to maintain, strengthen and expand cooperation in several areas related to security. You have commissioned 20 vehicles.
Prime Minister Philip Brave Davis, Secretary of State for National Security Wayne Munroe, US Ambassador Chargé d’Affaires Usha Pitts, and Police Commissioner Clayton Fernander were all present.
Prime Minister Philip Davis said the vehicles were much needed and would help fight crime.
“…these vehicles are an important addition to our police work in fighting crime,” he said.
The US government has donated 32 police vehicles so far, bringing the total to 52.
