Political parties and other groups mark May Day

Demonstrations, political rallies and student gatherings took place in Prague and elsewhere in the country on Sundays commemorating the Czech Republic’s holiday May Day.

The Communist Party, Social Democratic Party, and anarchists have held a rally in Střeleckýostrov, and the SPOLU coalition has launched the next local election campaign on Petrin Hill in Prague.

Events supporting Ukraine were held in both Prague and Brno, and university students in the capital hosted the traditional Mahares Festival.
