Porto pianist Antonio Oliveira performs for Amigos de Musica

Portuguese pianist Antonio Oliveira will give two concerts for the Amigos de Musica on December 13th and 15th. These concerts will take place at 7pm in the auditorium of the country estate of Os Agostos, near Santa Barbara de Nexe.

Tuesday (13^th), Antonio Oliveira said Thursday (15^th), Claude Debussy, Leo JanacekSergei Rachmaninoff, Portuguese composers Antonio Fragoso and Telmo Marquez.

After completing his first degree in Porto, António Oliveira studied at the Hochschule der Kunst in Berlin under Laszlo Simon and completed his master’s degree at the Hartt School at the University of Hartford, USA.
He is an active recitalist, both solo and chamber music, having performed in many concert halls in Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Finland, Turkey, USA and Canada.

he was broadcast by RDP Antenna 2 was featured in RTP Portuguese TV.

Together with clarinetist Antonio Rosa, he formed Projecto XXI, which premiered and recorded two CDs with music by Portuguese composers.

António has world premiered and recorded the music of António Chagas Rosa. He premiered Telmo Marquez’s Concerto No. 1 for Piano and Orchestra with Orquestra Classica da Madeira. In 2016 Chopin and Liszt, Ravel and Janacek 2018.

Antonio Oliveira teaches at the Porto Conservatory.

The Amigos de Música concert in Os Agostos starts at 7pm sharp. Opens at 18:00, offers wine, fruit juice and canapés. There are also short intervals where refreshments are served.

Amigos de Música is an international group of about 120 members who stage musical acts by internationally renowned musicians and support young Portuguese musicians.A non-profit organization celebrating its 30th anniversary^th anniversary last year.
