Pre-election campaign spending is now €1.45m/article

Financial resource limits are set for each political entity used for political propaganda, charity, sponsorship, benefits, and gifts during the pre-election campaign period. Spending limits do not apply to ad creation or campaign planning. Pre-election campaign costs shall include both the party candidate’s total costs and individual costs.

As report firsteach of the 19 parliamentary candidate lists submitted for election could spend up to €708,000 in election costs.

According to KNAB data, more than a third of the limits have been used so far by Development/For! on the United List. and harmonies. This is followed by the National Union, the Green and Farmers Union “For Each and Everyone”, each spending more than €100,000.

Meanwhile, five parties have yet to show spending. Declaration of campaign expenses to KNAB is mandatory.
