Prime Minister Modi attends the Nordic Summit in India in Copenhagen

Copenhagen [Denmark]May 4 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other government leaders attended the Indian Nordic Summit on Wednesday at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The 2nd India-Scandinavian Summit was attended by the Prime Ministers of Denmark, Iceland, Finland, Sweden and Norway. The meeting was held shortly after Prime Minister Modi held a bilateral meeting with Nordic leaders.
“The 2nd India-Scandinavian Summit is about to begin. We will support multifaceted cooperation with the Nordic region in areas such as emerging technologies, investment, clean energy and Arctic research,” said Allindam Bagchi, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Said in a tweet.
This summit is a follow-up to the first summit held in Stockholm, Sweden in 2018. The Stockholm Summit was the first time India had been involved with the Nordic countries as a group on a single platform.
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi said the summit would focus on topics such as post-pandemic economic recovery, climate change, innovation and technology.
It will also focus on renewable energy, evolving global security scenarios, and cooperation between India and Northern Europe in the Arctic Circle.
Following the summit, the Prime Minister will make a brief stop in Paris for a meeting with the newly re-elected President of France, Emmanuel Macron. (ANI)
