Prince Albert II: “Peace is never guaranteed”

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Legion of Honor, an unknown soldier’s flame moved from Paris to Monaco and stopped at Turon. This is the first time I have left France.

A ceremony to commemorate the end of the war in Europe and the victory of Nazi Germany took place on Saturday, May 7th at the War Memorial of Korea Cemetery.

Prince Albert II, Stephen Walleri, Chairman of the National Council, Georges Marsan, Mayor of Monaco, Laurent Stefanini and Ambassador of Monaco of France attended.

He also had the opportunity to pay homage to 258 military personnel from the Principality who fell into the field of honor during World War I.And remember his ancestor Albert I, who was awarded the Medal of Honor for his participation in World War I.
