The Prysmian Group has announced the signing of a purchase agreement by Prysmian for a site identified at Brayton Point, Massachusetts, and said it is working on a new submarine power cable plant project in the United States. The final acquisition of the site is subject to securing state permits for the construction of the new factory. If approved, the total investment to build a new factory will be approximately $ 200 million.

The final decision on a US localization plan for the production footprint of submarine cables will also include confirmation of approval by Avangrid Renewables for a total of approximately $ 900 million in cable connectivity projects for the Federal Wind and Park Wind City Offshore Wind Projects. No continuation notice has been issued yet.
