Qatar participates in the Global Disability Summit

Qatar is participating in the 2nd World Disability Summit. The summit began on Wednesday with the attendance of 800 senior officials, including state leaders, heads of government and ministers from different countries of the world.
The Virtual Summit is co-sponsored by Norway, Ghana, and the International Disability Alliance.
Qatar’s delegation to the summit is headed by the Minister for Social Development and his family, Maryam Binto Ali bin Nacelle al Misnad.
The two-day summit aims to revitalize global efforts to implement the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and accelerate efforts aimed at raising global and government awareness of this right.
