The ambassador also added that the qualification of the Swiss national team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup will increase Swiss interest in visiting Qatar.

Dorig also emphasized that the Qatar market is becoming more and more important to Switzerland, and that Qatar is Switzerland’s third largest market in the Middle East and North Africa.
He said the number of tourists from Switzerland to Qatar is increasing and added that there are significant investment opportunities such as the World Cup, which is giving a positive signal about the region.
