QNL offers exciting activities at the Doha International Book Fair

The Qatar National Library (QNL) will feature items from its collection and will host a number of special events at the Doha International Book Fair, which will be held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center from January 13th to 22nd.

Visitors to the QNL booth at the fair can explore items in the Heritage Library and see a demonstration of the process of digitizing heritage materials. Help librarians answer questions and help users register for free library membership.
QNL will also host several events throughout the fair. On January 18th, the “What do you hear tonight?” Workshop will help parents conduct exciting storytime sessions with their children. On the same day, parents can also attend a lecture on Choosing the Right Children’s Book to learn about the developmental stages of child literacy and how to choose the best book for young readers. On January 20, parents and educators will be able to learn about the developmental characteristics of talented children and the role of the community in raising them.
The QNL booth will also host small activities such as chess clubs, kitchen science, storytime and crafts on January 18th.
