QRCS provides medical care to 30,000 beneficiaries of Somalia

The representative mission of the Qatar Red Crescent Societies (QRCS) in Somalia operates the Lafoole Health Center in Lafoole, Shabeellaha Hoose, for the benefit of 30,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs) and returnees.
With a total cost of QR396,266, the purpose of the project is to provide primary health care and reproductive medical services to the people of La Fool and the neighboring areas of southern Somalia.
During the preparatory phase, a field survey was conducted at health centers that needed assistance and provided reproductive health services and primary health care. The Lafool ​​e Health Center was selected based on a field assessment. The QRCS team visited to assess the condition of the center and meet with its doctors, nurses, and administrative staff.
So far, the team has been selected to run the center for a year. All the staff underwent a preventive investigation, signed an employment contract, and got a job.
Medical and administrative staff includes 1 general practitioner, 1 pharmacist, 2 certified assistants, 2 qualified nurses, 2 nursing assistants, 1 laboratory technician, 1 cleaner, And consists of one guard.
Services available at the center include primary care (clinical tests, medical tests, drug delivery, etc.), genital health (childbirth, maternal and child health), minor surgery (wound cleaning, surface suturing), and follow-up. It is included. Chronic disease.
