A new division has been established in Ras Al Khaimah to regulate the operation of entertainment and games within the Emirates.
The Entertainment and Games Regulatory Authority, established within the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA), takes into account the social, cultural and environmental landscapes of the Emirate.
Its scope of activity covers licensing, taxation, operating procedures, and consumer protection.
In a statement, RAKTDA stated that the top priority of this new division is to create a robust framework that guarantees responsible games at all levels.

In addition, regulations cover marketing, advertising, and financial transactions, ensuring that these areas comply with the entertainment and gaming sector regulations.
RAKTDA announced the establishment of a new division on Tuesday. Focus on the regulation of integrated resorts such as hotel operations, convention spaces, entertainment, restaurants and lounges, spas, retail stores and gaming facilities.
The announcement came on the same day that U.S.-listed luxury resort developer Wynn Resorts announced plans for a multi-billion dollar integrated resort on the island of Al Marjan in Las Al-Haima. .. The 250,000-square-meter resort also includes approximately 1,000 rooms, a luxury shopping mall, conference and convention facilities, more than 10 restaurants and lounges, entertainment facilities and a gaming area.
