Renovation of the historic Berengaria Hotel costs € 35 million

In the mountainous Prodromoi, the historic yet long-overlooked Berengaria Hotel will begin its renovation at an estimated € 35 million, making the dream come true.

The main feature of the Berengaria Luxury Boutique Hotel is that it will be a wrist hotel with all modern amenities, thanks to the bff group and its consultant Thanos Hotels & Resorts.

Beregaria was built in 1930 in Prodromoi, the highest village in Cyprus, 1400 meters above sea level. It covers an area of 26,520 square meters and it is made of stone and concrete.

The main building has 80 rooms and a 200 m² pool and restaurant in the northeastern part of the building.

The hotel is named after Queen Berengaria, wife of King Richard Onhart.

It is also known as the “King’s Hotel” because it was famous for attracting famous guests such as Egyptian King Farouk and Israeli President Ezel Weissmann.
