On Sunday, Danish and Swedish right-wing extremists Rasmus Paldan met in Stockholm and Uppsala. It evoked a much milder reaction than Easter.
Paldan burned some Quran during the rally.
According to police, a short riot broke out outside the mosque in Uppsala when people who tracked Paldan on social media and knew he was coming appeared.
According to a video from the Expressen newspaper, some unarmed people attacked the car before Paldan drove it.
Earlier that day, Paldan performed similar actions in several parts of Stockholm, in parallel with the ongoing celebration of May 1. Things went well, according to Stockholm police.
Paldan rejected his application to hold rallies in both Stockholm and Uppsala. According to police, Sunday’s actions were not considered a public rally and were protected under the freedom of protests.
At Easter, Paldan was active in several cities in Sweden, holding or announcing rallies to light the Koran. Then there was a violent riot.
