Roasted almond cookies

Almond cookies are always a big hit during the holiday season. If you love almonds, these cookies are perfect for you. Buttery, soft and not too sweet, it’s perfect for party preparation and gifts for family and friends.

Total time: 30-40 minutes

Yield: 30 cookies


  • 1, 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (mida)
  • Clear butter 1/2 cup (ghee)
  • 1/2 cup sugar powder (add a spoonful for a sweeter version)
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 tbsp roasted almonds (roughly chopped)
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond essence (optional)
  • 1 tbsp milk

(All materials need to be warmed to room temperature)


  • Add ghee and powdered sugar to the mixing bowl and whisk with a whisk until fluffy (creamy).
  • Add baking powder, roasted chopped almonds and flour with the essence. Sprinkle the mixture with milk to make the dough.
  • Pinch the dough a little, roll it into a bowl, and lightly press it to get the desired shape.
  • On top of the dough sprinkled with chopped almonds
  • Place the molded dough on a baking tray lined with parchment paper
  • Refrigerate for about 15 minutes
  • Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Place the baking tray in the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes or until the center is set.Do not overcook so that it does not become too soft when it comes out of the oven
  • Cool the cookies in a baking pan before transferring them to the baking rack. Store in a closed container and enjoy for at least a month.
