Romania administers 5,000 doses of monkeypox vaccine. Two new cases were reported in the country last week, with a total of 32 infections, Adriana Pistol, the secretary of state for the Ministry of Health, announced at a press conference on Tuesday.

According to Secretary of State Adriana Pistol, the virus is affecting men between the ages of 31 and 44.

The dose of monkeypox vaccine arriving in Romania is a donation from the European Commission. However, officials do not know at this time when the vaccine administration will take place. This will take precedence over countries with a high number of cases.

“It’s not a lot. We will give vaccines to infected contacts. As far as I know, 5,000 doses of vaccine will be given.” The deputy minister of health said:
