Russia says “destroyed” military factory outside Kyiv

Russia’s Pentagon said it attacked a military facility on the outskirts of Kieu on Sunday as Moscow intensified its attacks on the Ukrainian capital.

“At night, high-precision air-launched missiles destroyed an ammunition factory near the Brovary settlement in the Kyiv region,” the ministry said in a statement on Telegram.

The mayor of Brovary Igor Sapozhko said “some infrastructure objects were hit” early on Sunday morning.

Brovary AFP journalists did not witness any signs of destruction, smoke or fire.

Recently, Russia has launched several attacks on military installations inside and outside Kieu.

Russia said last month that it was withdrawing troops from northern Ukraine, including around the capital, to focus on gaining control of the eastern Donbus region. Russia says “destroyed” military factory outside Kyiv
