Sandals looking for 100 team members for busy end of year

The hotel filled 50 positions in the last week alone, according to Whitehead.

He said the company is looking to acquire the best team it can because hotel occupancy rates and ratings are better than ever.

Whitehead said there won’t be many vacancies left at the hotel heading into December.

“We have solid occupancy going into the end of the year,” said Whitehead.

“There are some vacancies in December, but honestly not many.

“We have had the best occupancy for a long time and we have had the best feedback for a long time.

“The team here are really great and they shine not only in Sandals but in the Bahamas.I am really proud of them.”

He added: We have a good team to guide us into his 2023 and beyond, and occupancy is trending well.

“We’re always careful to look after it (the occupancy numbers) and keep the pressure going in the right direction.”

Sandals’ job fairs will begin today and continue tomorrow, Whitehead said.

The hotel’s first positions are maintenance, food and beverage, butler, housekeeping, photo shop, water sports, and weddings.

Whitehead said he’s looking for everyone from managers to supervisors to line staff to fill positions.

“I’m looking for superstars…people who want to come and have fun,” Whitehead said.

“I am excited to see what we bring on board. I am excited to see people come and go and get the right people in the right positions.”

He said Adam Stewart, Chairman of Sandals Resorts International, recently visited the resort and praised his continuing vision for the property, which recently underwent a multi-million dollar renovation.

“The chairman was here last week and made a very clear statement about where we’re looking at the resort, where we’re heading, what’s going on…” said Whitehead. .

“And there is still new development and new things happening at the resort over the next few weeks. We continue to upgrade and continue to supply our staff.
