Saudi Arabia elected Chair of WCO Data and Statistics Working Group

Riyadh — Members of the World Customs Organization (WCO) have elected a representative from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Working Group to lead the organization’s Data and Statistics Working Group.

Abdulaziz Bin Mohammed Al-Ohali, Director of Data and Analytics Division, Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA), said at an organizational meeting in Brussels, Belgium, in the presence of WCO Executive Director Dr Kunio Mikuriya. was appointed chairman of the meeting.

The Kingdom’s election comes as a tribute to how the organization’s member states have witnessed ZATCA’s difference in data and analytics.

The selection of the ZATCA Board of Directors was also due to the development of a data strategy for the organization and a relentless effort to outline statistical standards and develop capacity. — Spa
