Saudi Arabia opens airspace according to GACA requirements

Saudi Gazette Report
Jeddah — The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of Saudi Arabia has decided to open the kingdom’s airspace for all airlines that meet the requirements of the authorities for overflight.
In a statement on Friday, authorities explained that the decision was within the nation’s enthusiasm to fulfill its obligations under the 1944 Chicago Convention.
The Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation of 1944 stipulates the indiscrimination of commercial aircraft used in international air navigation, with the aim of strengthening the kingdom’s status as a global hub connecting the three continents and strengthening international air connections. It complements our efforts.
