Saudi Arabian Manga Productions Launches Project G Based on Popular Cartoon ‘Grendizer’
RIYADH: For decades, anime fans have enjoyed Grendizer, the animated Super Robot TV series created by Japanese cartoonist Go Nagai.
Manga Productions, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s MISK Foundation, announced the launch of Project G at an event held in Riyadh Boulevard City on Thursday night. Help shape the future of the franchise.
The project was developed and initiated in collaboration with a number of Japanese partners with experience and expertise in anime production, including the rights holders of the Grendizer series.

“We are here to announce Project G on the ‘Grendizer’ anime and to announce a partnership between Manga Productions and Japanese company Dynamic Productions,” said Abdulaziz Al Nagmush, marketing manager at Manga Productions. told Arab News.

Sara Al-Taweel, Communications and PR Manager at Manga Productions said: “People can join us and submit artwork for character design.
“We will hold a design competition to create a mechanical anime character inspired by the world of Grendizer, with artwork included in Project G and a cash prize for the winner.”
Manga Productions CEO Essam Bukhary said at the event that the project’s goal is to inspire tomorrow’s heroes and shape their future.

The event concluded with an exhibition of synchronized drones in the shape of the characters from ‘Grendizer’, lighting up the skies of Riyadh and also shown on the big screen to viewers along Riyadh Boulevard.
