Saudi-led Arab coalition launches attack on Yemen after strike

Riyadh: Yemen’s Arab League, led by Saudi Arabia, launched a “massive” attack on Yemen on Saturday after a Houthi launch that struck the Saudi city of Jazan led to the killing of two civilians. And such a death.

Yemeni Houthis regularly launches missiles and drones to neighboring Saudi Arabia, targeting airports and oil infrastructure. However, the latest one has died in the kingdom for the first time in more than three years, recording the first death in a Houthi missile attack when a missile attacked Riyadh in 2018.

The coalition said on Saturday that it was “preparing for a major military operation,” and later launched air strikes on the Houthi target in northern Yemen.

“We destroyed the arsenal in the Tashley Fat Army camp, and the operation was an immediate reaction to an attempt to transfer weapons from Sana’a’s camp,” the coalition also said.

At the beginning of Saturday, the coalition has killed 223 fighters, destroyed 17 military vehicles, and carried out 40 operations targeting Iran-backed Houthi militias in Malibu and Aljuv over the past 24 hours. He said he did.

Yemen has been involved in the civil war since September 2014, when the Houthi militia expelled the internationally recognized government of President Abd Rab Mansour Hadi from the capital Sana’a.

Since March 2015, the Arab Union has been conducting military operations to support Yemen’s government forces, confronting the Houthis with the support of Yemen, which controls several provinces, including the capital Sana’a.

Some parts of Saudi Arabia are constantly being attacked by ballistic missiles and booby trap drones launched from Yemen to airports and oil facilities.

The Iran-backed Houthi militia was launched in February 2021 and launched a major attack on Malibu in an attempt to seize control of the state, the last northern base of the Saudi-backed Yemeni government.
