New Delhi: Seventy-six supporters of the Supreme Court wrote to NV Ramana, Chief Justice of India, seeking action in a hate speech at a religious event in Haridwar and Delhi.
In an open letter, supporters said the speeches made during the event were not just hate speeches, but openly calling for murder of the entire community.
The speech not only poses a serious threat to the unity and integrity of the country, but also puts the lives of millions of Muslim citizens at risk, taking direct action against those involved in hate speech. I urged CJI to wake up.
To justify the letter of judicial intervention, advocates took effective measures under sections 153, 153A, 153B, 295A, 504, 506, 120B, 34 of the IPC in early such cases. He said he couldn’t. Advocates added that judicial intervention is needed to prevent such cases in the future.
Letters signed by prominent lawyers such as Dushyant Dave, Prashant Bhushan, Vrinda Grover, Salman Khurshid, and former Patna High Court judge Anjana Prakash also included the names of the people involved in the hate speech.
At the Haridwar event, several speakers gave exciting and provocative speeches calling for the killing of people in the minority community. Police registered the FIR in this case.
Held in Haridwar’s Vedniketandam from December 17th to 20th, Dharmasansad was organized by Juna Ahada’s Yatina Rasim Hanandgiri, who was accused of inciting violence against Muslims by giving hate speeches in the past. ..
At the Hindu Yuva Vahini event in Delhi, the editor-in-chief of Sudarshan News Suresh Chavhanke made a provocative oath to a group of people.
The vow at the event can be translated as “We make a vow and, until the last breath, we are determined to fight, die, and kill if necessary to make this country a Hindu Rashtra.” I can do it.
After the video of the event became a hot topic on social media, many netizens, politicians, lawyers and others began demanding action from those involved in hate speech.
