South Korea struggling in U-20 Women’s World Cup – Chosun Ilbo : Daily News from Korea

South Korea are aiming to reach the semi-finals of the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

South Korea will face Canada in their first group match on Friday in San Jose, Costa Rica. They will then play Nigeria on August 15th and France on August 18th.

Countries in that group are not easy enemies. In past competitions, Canada and France have each been runners-up on her one occasion, and Nigeria on her two occasions.

In the group stage, the 16 teams will be divided into four groups of four players each. The top two teams from each group advance to the quarterfinals.

Since 2012, Korea has made it through the group stage five times in the tournament, which is held once every two years. His best result was 3rd place in 2010.

South Korea qualified for the Asian Football Confederation’s U-19 Championship by finishing third. He has been training in Mexico since the end of last month.
