It is not clear whether the billions of crowns of subsidies allocated to help socially disadvantaged families actually helped them. We do not monitor how the subsidies specifically help families, we only track the number of families receiving subsidies. The Ministry of Labor disagrees with the office’s conclusions, reports Czech News Agency.
The Supreme Audit Office has examined the 9 billion crown allocation given to socially disadvantaged families through several subsidy programs between 2018 and 2020. Subsidies as the ministry has not set specific targets, according to a press release.
The Czech Republic is still considered a net recipient of EU subsidies. In 2020, Czech paid her €2.27 billion to her EU budget and received €5.5 billion.
