Suspect arrested after man found dead during Los Angeles County welfare check

High Desert authorities found the man deceased during a welfare check and took a suspect into custody.

Officers with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Palmdale Station responded to the 37400 block of Oxford Drive in Palmdale around 10:35 a.m. Saturday to conduct a safety check, the department said in a statement.

Arriving officers entered the residence and found the deceased victim, identified only as a Hispanic male.

During a “tactical operation” at the same residence, a second man was located and arrested, according to LASD.

Further details, such as the identity of the arrested man, have not been released.
