Mumbai: On Monday, Thane police summoned Samir Wancade, a former Mumbai Drug Enforcement (NCB) zone director, in connection with a forgery of complaints by the Maharashtra Drug Enforcement Department.
“He will have to come to the police station on Wednesday, February 23, to record his statement along with the relevant documents,” Thane police said.
Meanwhile, Wankhede has moved the Bombay High Court to seek the destruction of the FIR by Thane police on suspicion of fraudulent liquor licenses. The court amended the February 22 trial.
He filed another petition at the Bombay High Court seeking reinstatement of a canceled liquor license by Thane Collector.
According to Koburi police, a FIR was forged against Wankhede on Sunday for deliberately misrepresenting his age and obtaining a hotel license in Tane, Mumbai.
This measure was taken in response to a complaint from State Excise Department employee Shankar Gogavale, who claimed that Wankhede was under the age of 18 and was licensed for the Sadguru Bar in the city between 1996 and 1997. ..
The Tane collector has ordered the bar to be revoked.
According to FIR, the former Zone NCB Director was not eligible to sign these contracts, but he claimed to be a stamp paper major in the Sadguru Hotel of Thane’s contract certificate.
