TDI-Brooks said it has completed a ground survey of the Beacon Exploration & Production LLC in the deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The project consisted of a “heavy” geoengineering coring / cone penetration test (CPT) using the TDI-Brooks research vessel R / V Gyre.
This project included the acquisition of a 20 m jumbo piston coring, a 40 meter CPT-Stinger sample, and a 40 meter Shelby tube stinger sample. Samples of other pistons, box cores and gravity CPT (gCPT) were taken in connection with the oil and gas export pipeline.
The Shenando Field Development Project is located in the Walker Ridge (WR) area at depths of 5,800 to 6,300 feet. The Shenandoah oil field will be developed as a submarine tieback from the WR-51 drill center to the new Floating Production System (FPS) at WR-52.
TDI-Brooks worked closely with BOE and BSEE to promote permits. After completing the geoengineering coring campaign, TDI-Brooks returned soil samples to the College Station’s Certified Soil Testing Laboratory.
