Telangana continues to witness a surge in cases of COVID-19

Hyderabad: Telangana surged in COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, reporting 1,520 new infections.

According to state government breaking news, the number of cases was 6,85,543, but the death toll increased to 4,034 and another died.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) occupies the most cases at 979, followed by the Ranga Reddy (174) and Medchal Malkajgiri (132) districts, providing details as of 5:30 pm today. The report states.

On Wednesday, 209 people recovered from the infection. To date, the cumulative number of collections has been 6,75,341.

According to reports, the number of active cases was 6,168.

42,531 samples were tested today, with a total of 2,98,83,141 tested to date.

The sample tested per million people was 8,02,878.

Case fatality and recovery rates were 0.58% and 98.51%, respectively.

On the other hand, no new cases of Omicron have been reported in Telangana today. The cumulative number of new coronavirus variants was 94.

Forty-three recovered and the number of active Omicron cases was 51.

In a major jump, Telangana on Tuesday recorded 1,052 new COVID-19 cases, more than double what was reported on Monday.
