Tennis Giano and writer Klerichi die at age 91-lifestyle

(ANSA)-Rome, June 6-Tennis journalist and writer Gianni Clerici died at the age of 91, his longtime employer La Repubblica said daily on Monday.
Born in Como, two-time Italian junior doubles champion, Cemo wrote about the sports of La Gazzetta dello, Ilmond and Il Giorno before moving to La Repubblica, which was founded in 1976.
He wrote several books and novels about tennis and was described by Italo Calvino as “a writer rented out for sports.”
In 2006, he became the second Italian to be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame, following Nicola Pietrangeli, who won the French Open twice. (ANSA).
