The Berlin and Brandenburg parliaments want to work more closely – Berlin.de

In the future, elected representatives from Berlin and Brandenburg would like to regularly coordinate on cross-state issues.

The joint solution is to be pursued at a “parliamentary meeting”. This was reported on Tuesday (June 28, 2022) by Ulrike Liedtke, Chairman of the Landtag of Brandenburg, and Dennis Buchner, Chairman of the House of Representatives in Berlin.

Better coordination on cross-state issues

“We want to improve coordination on cross-state issues and projects from within Congress and provide impetus for action,” Buchner said. “This is our common ambition to further develop the Berlin-Brandenburg metropolitan area.” Eleven members each are sent to so-called parliamentary meetings held three times a year. Their resolutions are then to be submitted to the House of Representatives and the Legislature.
