The deadline for payment of Mecca pilgrimage fees by domestic pilgrims has expired

Saudi Gazette Report

Riyadh — The deadline for payment of the reservation fee for Mecca Pilgrimage 2022 for pilgrims in Saudi Arabia was set by Mecca Pilgrimage and the Ministry of Umrah and ended on Sunday.

The ministry urged domestic pilgrims who succeeded in the electronic draw for this year’s Mecca pilgrimage to pay the booking fee before the June 19 deadline to avoid canceling the booking.

The payment deadline is 9 pm on Sunday, June 19th, which is equivalent to 20 Dhual-Qaadah.

Those who are unlucky on the first e-draw will have a second chance on the next e-draw for domestic pilgrims when alternative or additional seats are available.

The ministry earlier announced through a text message that it would contact potential pilgrims who applied for the execution of Mecca Pilgrimage 2022, confirm their status and complete the registration by paying an invoice.

The first e-draw of Hajj 2022 has 297,444 citizens and residents registered. The applicants were 62% male and 38% female.

The ministry said at a press conference that the total number of applications completed through the Eatmarna app and the e-portal for domestic pilgrims exceeded 217,000. The SMS message was sent to a qualified applicant to make a payment via the specified payment system within 48 hours.
