Riyadh – NEOM, an innovative futuristic city established in northwestern Saudi Arabia, has announced the launch of THE LINE Experience, the third edition of an exhibition showcasing the innovative urban design of NEOM’s futuristic city in the Kingdom’s capital. .

The exhibition will be held at the Diriyah Biennale Contemporary Art Foundation in the JAX district of Diriyah and will host guests for six months from November 6, 2022 to April 29, 2023.

Unlike traditional cities, THE LINE will run on 100% renewable energy, prioritizing health and well-being over transportation and infrastructure. The design offers the most important features of a city that is 200 meters wide, 170 kilometers long and 500 meters above sea level. Covering an area of ​​34 square kilometers, THE LINE’s small footprint helps protect 95% of NEOM’s land and supports environmental sustainability. The linear city will eventually have 9 million residents.

The design of THE LINE is based on the new concept of “Zero Gravity Urbanism,” which vertically hierarchizes city functions and allows residents to move seamlessly in three directions: up, down, left, and right. The concept provides quick access to offices, schools, parks and residential facilities, facilitating movement around the city. THE LINE’s unique modular design allows access to all facilities and amenities within a 5-minute walk.
