Nassau, The Bahamas — The University of The Bahamas (UB) graduation ceremony next week is one of the largest since the pandemic, an era of unusual circumstances with more than 600 graduates making up the starting class in 2022.

And after a two-year hiatus of the face-to-face launch event due to the COVID-19 pandemic, UB will return to hosting the field launch activity with the approval of the health authorities. One of the highlights of the graduation ceremony is the posthumous honorary doctorate of the university to the late Arthur Dion Hanna, one of the independent architects, a patriot of the Bahamas and an avid supporter of higher education. Hannah’s daughter, Minister of Education, Technology and Vocational Training, Hong. Glenis Hannah Martin will accept the conference on his behalf and give a graduation speech at the upcoming ceremony at the Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium.

Beginning classes in Spring 2022 consist of graduates who completed the Academic Program in Summer and Autumn 2021 and Spring 2022.
