Therapy dogs are being used to cheer up firefighters battling massive fires in Northern California
A paramedic therapy dog has been brought in to cheer up firefighters battling the Park Fire in Northern California.
“Ember, Ember and Hudson are on duty at #ParkFire! Cal Fire posted on their Twitter account X. “We're here to support the mental health of the humans deployed to the scene and living away from other humans and their furry friends.”
The three therapy dogs recently arrived at the Butte County base camp, local officials said.
The Park Fire, California's largest wildfire this year and the state's sixth-largest on record, had burned 383,000 acres as of Tuesday afternoon.
The massive fire is one of more than 100 large wildfires currently burning across the United States.
