Hyderabad: The Terrangana High Court has instructed the state government and the Revenue Department to ban nine parcels of buildings within Osmania University (OU) for sale by the Tulsi Cooperative House Building Society. The court was hearing a public interest proceeding (PIL) filed by Osmania research scholar Polari Ramana Rao on Thursday.
The petitioner pointed out the postponement and omissions on the part of the Osmania University land protection authorities during the blockade. After the High Court intervention, OU authorities filed a complaint with police and were investigated by Amberpet Police. After this, we came to the conclusion that the land of OU was invaded. Approximately 3,300 square yards of OU Primeland is said to have been converted into parcels and sold by the Tulsi Cooperative Housing Society.
