There is no blockade or curfew in Telangana, the state cabinet meeting will end

Hyderabad: The long-awaited state cabinet meeting ended on Monday night, with no decision to impose a blockade or curfew in Telangana. Prime Minister K. Chandrasekharlao chaired a four-hour cabinet meeting, but there was no discussion of a curfew.

During the meeting, state health minister T. Harish Lao explained to the state cabinet that the epidemic of the coronavirus was controlled within the state, despite the surge in incidents. He said all steps were taken to contain further spread with the help of mass vaccination.

The government has all facilities, equipment, medicines, and staff to provide better immediate service to people. Corona victims don’t have to worry because Omicron is soaring, but not so serious. Lao has informed the Cabinet that the state government is ready to tackle any situation following the surge in incidents across the state and the country.

The prime minister is believed to be satisfied with the health minister’s briefing, and it is reported that the cabinet meeting did not reveal the aspect of blocking or curfewing. Other decisions related to the education and agriculture sector have been made.

However, the Minister of Health urged people to wear masks, avoid gathering and maintain social distance.

Since the surge in Omicron’s case, there have been concerns among the public that the government may impose a curfew at least after the Sankranthi Festival.
