These Are 7 Major Warning Signs You’re Not Using Your Bathtub Cushion And Pillow For Bathtub Properly

Are you using your bathtub cushion and pillow correctly? While the idea behind these bathtub accessories may seem simple, many people don’t actually use them correctly, and as a result, they don’t get the full benefits from their bathing experience. Here are seven warning signs that you aren’t using your bath cushion and pillow for bathtubcorrectly.

1) If it’s slippery

If your pillow for bathtub is slippery to begin with, things can get out of hand fast. The problem is that we often want a soft bath cushion, but if it’s too cushy, we might not be able to support ourselves on it. That’s why it’s important to put some thought into finding something that won’t make us feel like we’re going to fall in when we sit down.

2) If the cushions sink

The bathtub cushion is meant to rest on top of your tub or against your bath wall. If it sinks into your tub, it’s either too small or you’re putting too much weight on it. Be sure to get a larger pillow so you can sit in a comfortable position, or switch to using an inflatable pillow instead.

3)If there’s no room for you

Your pillow should be big enough that you have plenty of room around you. But if it’s too big, there won’t be enough space for your legs while sitting down. A good rule of thumb is to make sure your knees aren’t bumping up against anything when you sit back.

4) If it doesn’t feel right

If your pillow feels uncomfortable, don’t use it! It could mean that something about its size or shape isn’t working for you. A great way to find out what kind of pillow will work best for you is by trying out different kinds at a store like Brookstone before buying one online.

5) If the pillows float

If your bathtub cushion or pillow for bathtub is floating, that means it’s time to buy a new one. A bath cushion should stay at least partially submerged in water. It can be used as a flotation device in case of emergency, but it shouldn’t float on its own. The same goes for pillows. They should also stay under water—and if they don’t, you might want to replace them soon.

6) If they fall apart easily

If your pillow for bathtub or bath cushion is falling apart easily, it may be time to replace it. Since these products are designed to support your body as you relax in a tub, they’re typically made of strong, sturdy materials that can withstand repeated use and water exposure. If you start seeing tears forming in your pillow for bathtub or see big chunks of material coming off at a time, chances are you need a new one.

7) If you don’t use it

It’s easy to forget about your pillow for bathtub until you need it. But if you keep forgetting about it or only use it once in awhile, then there’s no reason to keep having one around. Chances are you don’t need one at all! Plus, having an unused pillow for bathtub just means more clutter—and who needs that?
