Too many road projects going on at the same time – Santo

Too many roadworks are going on at the same time, former Prime Minister Alfred Santo wrote today.

In a Facebook post, the Labor MEP said people were stuck in traffic and this was causing endless frustration.

The Pieta region has been mentioned recently, but he said there are many other arteries that are affected.

Even worse, a project can start and then stop in the middle without any explanation.

It is a mistake for those leading such projects to assume that once the project is complete, they forget it, sometimes taking three times as long as originally estimated.

Such thinking shows no respect for citizens, he said.
