TotalEnergies enables the discovery of “important” oil and gas

TotalEnergies said Monday that it had discovered significant new oil and related gases at Krabdagu-1 off Suriname.

This discovery, made in the central part of Offshore Block 58, follows previous findings in Maca, Sapakara, Kwasquash, and Kesukeshi, as well as the successfully tested Sapakara South 1 evaluation well.

According to TotalEnergies, Club Doug-1, located 18 kilometers southeast of Sapakara, was excavated at a depth of 780 meters and encountered a net oil wage of about 90 meters in quality Maastrichtian and Campanian reservoirs. ..

“This successful exploration well at Krabdagu-1 is an important addition to the resources found in the central area of ​​Block 58. Drilling and logging operations will continue using the Maersk Valiant drillship. DST work will be carried out on Krabdagu-1 to assess resources and productivity, and at least three more exploration and evaluation wells will be drilled into the block in 2022.
