Turkish president condemns ‘serial’ killing of Muslims in US

A spokesman for President Turkiye has condemned the murder of four Muslim men in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA.
“We are deeply concerned about these serial killers,” Ibrahim Kalin said on Twitter, stressing the need to shed light on the killings and bring the perpetrators to justice as soon as possible.
After the murder of a Muslim man in southern New Mexico on Friday, officials are working to determine whether his killing was linked to three others in the past nine months.
Albuquerque Police Chief Harold Medina said the killing may be related to three other Muslim men killed in an “ambush-style shooting”.
“Hateful Attack”
US President Joe Biden also condemned the murder of four Muslim men in southern New Mexico.
Biden tweeted: “Anger and saddened by the horrific murder of four Muslim men in Albuquerque.
Noting that a full investigation into the matter was underway, he stressed that his administration strongly supports the Muslim community in the United States.
“Such hateful attacks are unacceptable in America,” Biden said.
Security measures were reportedly increased in certain areas of the city where the Muslim community resides, although authorities have repeatedly asked anyone with information about the killing to contact police.
The Council for American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights group, has increased the reward from $5,000 to $10,000 for information leading to suspects associated with the killings.
Albuquerque police officer Kyle Hartsock said Thursday that the man who killed the Muslim could be the same person.
