Nassau, Bahamas — Within the last 24 hours, a man was shot dead and another man died from a sting in two separate killings.

The first incident occurred on Sierra Leone Avenue in Flamingo Gardens just before 9 pm.

Police found a man lying on the street suffering from a wound that matched the gunshot.

An ambulance crew was called to the scene and evaluated the body and determined that there were no signs of life.

“The first investigation revealed that a man was talking to an individual in the vehicle when another vehicle was pulled up,” read a police report.

“A male passenger armed with firearms came out and released a weapon to the man. He was hit several times and was fatally injured. This issue continues to be actively investigated.”

The second incident occurred in a house on White Fin Tuna Road, away from Carmichael Road just before 4 am.

Police found a man lying on the floor with a wound that matched his stab in the room in front of his residence.

Emergency medical services have determined that there are no signs of life.
