Two people were seriously injured in separate accidents at Fgura



An unidentified man and a 35-year-old motorcyclist were seriously injured in separate accidents at Fgura on Monday.

The first accident at Fgura’s Triq Hompesch around 7:15 am was a traffic accident between a motorcycle and a car.

The first investigation revealed that there was a conflict between the Peugeot Map motorcycle, which is driven by a 35-year-old from Marsascala, and the Mercedes E270, which is driven by a 35-year-old from Fugra.

The motorcyclist was injured and was taken to Mater Dei Hospital, where his injury was considered serious in nature.

Meanwhile, the second accident occurred at the construction site of TriqAM Valperga in Fgura at 8 am, just 45 minutes after the first accident.

Police immediately went to the scene, and preliminary investigations revealed that a man, probably a foreigner but unidentified, was injured after falling to a height of about three stories while working.

He was also taken by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital and was found to be seriously injured.

Police are investigating both cases.
